In Season 3, Episode 3, of Little Blessings Online, Jo and Andy and their team follow Moses again, last week it was a Burning Bush in Moses’ life, this week we look at something called plagues which are disasters that came about when Moses was alive – interesting guy, interesting life! There were 10 disasters all together, but we thought we would focus on the humble frog – Gribbit!
Art Time We thought we would use the humble paper plate again to make a humble green frog! It’s a wide mouth frog with a long curly tongue – what fun!
Paper Plate Frog
green crayon, paper, paint, or pen
white paper/ card
black pen Optional
stick on eyes
Story Time Andy B tells the story of another miraculous happening – the invasion of the frogs. Unlike our neighbouring pond, there were not 10, not 20, not 30, but 1000s of frogs all over the place, even in cereal boxes if they had them!
It’s not raining cats and dogs, it’s raining frogs!
Abigail is an amazing example of a godly women, she exudes truth, integrity, honesty, humility, and respect.
In Andy B’s Preachy Teach LITE, Andy looks at how we need to be more like Abigail when seeking to influence others. Andy leads us on from last week when we thought about changing our own minds. This week we look at changing other people’s minds and praying for others.
In #GoDo, Steven & Nathan give us 3 challenges for the week ahead to GoDO, encouraging us to go deeper in our relationship with God:
Read 1 Samuel 25 – David, Nabal & Abigail
Remember – you can’t force someone’s mind to change – that’s up to them. We need to show love and present truth to those around us – the Holy Spirit does the rest.
Think of someone with whom you disagree and pray for them; going to God first to make sure you are not being judgmental.
In Season 3, Episode 2, of Little Blessings Online, Jo and Andy and their team do a double take – a burning bush that doesn’t burn – what! Another amazing episode!
Art Time We have found a way to create our own Burning Bush – well we have paper flames and a light that makes it look like it! Join Jo in drawing a simple bush – a brown truck and a big green- well bushy bush!
glass, plastic or paper cup or a toilet roll
paper tissue or paper – red, yellow and orange
small light, tea light or small torch – battery operated
Story Time Andy B tells us about another miracle, this time a guy called Moses saw this bush when he was out with his sheep. What was interesting was that the bush didn’t burn up – it was in perfect shape, even though it was on fire. It’s alright Moses didn’t burn himself – he was a sensible shepherd, not a silly shepherd!
Andy B’s Preachy Teach LITE follows on nicely from last week when Andy talked about God seemingly changing his mind. This week Andy B looks at us changing our mind. We all know the difference between right and wrong and when we know and walk with Jesus we are transformed.
In #GoDo, Steven & Nathan set us 3 challenges for the week ahead to GoDo, encouraging us to go deeper in our relationship with God:
Read Acts 9: 1-19 Saul’s conversion
Ask God if there is anything, He wants you to change in your life!
Allow God to change your mind because:
Those who don’t change their mind don’t change anything!
In Season 3, Episode 1, of Little Blessings Online, Jo and Andy and their team look at how amazing things are, how amazing we all are and something super amazing – a miracle! Prepare to be amazed!
Art Time We have another super sweet, and simple, art project – sweet because it involves icing sugar! This is what you will need to make ‘Iced Parting of the Sea biscuits’ – Now that’s a mouthful! Iced Parting of the Sea Biscuits
100g Icing sugar
10-15 ml water
10-15 ml Blue food colouring
Plain biscuits – digestives Optional
Story Time Andy B tells the story of the Miracle – Parting of the Red Sea. This time without the Story Book; totally from memory – will Andy B get anything wrong?
It’ll be the usual format, where we pause our day – for about 15 minutes – for things around the world to pray into situations around the world. We always finish with a time to say thankyou to God for all the good things in the world and in our lives too.
