We have another super sweet, and simple, art project – sweet because it involves icing sugar! This what you will need to make ‘Iced Parting of the Sea biscuits’ – Now that’s a mouthful!

Iced Parting of the Sea Biscuits

  • 100g Icing sugar
  • 10-15 ml water
  • 10-15 ml Blue food colouring
  • Plain biscuits – digestives
    Optional
  • Chocolate spread

Art Time, Baking Flat Bread

Art Time
Jo and Peter show us how to make flatbread – so easy and with only two ingredients:

  • Greek style yoghurt – 220g ( extra in case!)
  • Self-raising flour – 125g (extra for rolling)

Equipment needed:
-Mixing bowl
-Scales ( for measuring ingredients)
-Spoon – wooden or metal
-spatula or spoon
-rolling pin
-Frying pan ( on a cooker) or griddle

Art Time, Baking Yummy Biscuits

For Art Time Baking you will need:

  • 2 table spoons of golden syrup (about 40ml)
  • 400 g self-raising flour
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • chocolate chips (optional extra)
    This makes enough for about 24 larger cookies.

Bake in an oven, at 160 degrees (fan oven) for around 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown (we baked at 160 degrees in a gas oven, and they took around 180-20 minutes to get golden brown). Leave to cool until they harden before putting on a cooling rack and enjoy!
